One last deal
Warren Access add Hinowa spider lift and Genie scissor lifts to their hire fleet
‘UK access industry veteran has made one last deal before he finally retired selling four machines to long term client Warren Access.
The sale included a 17-metre Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 spider lift and three Genie scissor lifts, two 19ft GS-1932s and a 26ft GS-2632. Daintith, who announced his retirement in June, personally handed the machines over to Warren directors Michelle and Graeme Warren, with whom Daintith has enjoyed a close business relationship and friendship with since 2012 when he sold his Height for Hire rental business and APS’s training operation to them.‘

What we have to say
The sale, which took place in July, was a memorable one in which we had to say goodbye and happy retirement to our friend and long-standing business associate, APS’s co-founder, Jim Daintith. We wish him well.
Our relationship with Jim began in 2012, and in 2013, we acquired his height for hire rental business along with APS’s training operation and expanded Warren Access into the south. Their space in Upton, Cambridgeshire was ideal for launching our southern depot and saw us through until 2018 when we finally relocated to bigger premises in Huntingdon. Through the years, Jim has proved to be invaluable to us, providing advice, help and a range of access platforms including aerial booms, scissor lifts and truck-mounted platforms. He has a ‘where there’s a will; there’s a way’ attitude and a certain charisma that makes him one of a kind; he’ll surely be missed by the IAPS group.
Of Jim’s retirement, Michelle Warren says ‘Jim has a very positive outlook on life, and he is one of the kindest, most helpful, and generous people we have had the pleasure to meet. We affectionately refer to him as ‘Gentleman Jim’! He has always given us fantastic customer service and somehow, whatever he has for sale, you just want to buy from him! He always makes you feel like his most important customer’.
So, it is with that that we say thank you, Jim, for all of your advice, coaching and support over the last seven years. It’s been a real pleasure to work with you, and we hope your well-earned retirement brings you everything you wish for; you deserve it.
